ex figura
private public house, plan 01, ex figura, 2022_1
the word “privacy” derives from the latin “privare”, which means “to deprive”. applied to a house, the idea of privacy was originally synonymous with preventing the outside from getting inside. it was the interior space that no one was invited nor allowed to peek at - the closed world. it was the manifestation of the place that belonged exclusively to the habitant.
superforma, concept 03, ex figura, 2021_2
a single object that can provide a shelter, bed and backpack out of a single shape. its minimalistic design simplifies its production and use, allowing each object to be easily effortlessly built in a few minutes, therefore facilitating the daily journey towards a safe place
linear space, concept 01, ex figura, 2021_3
everything is designed for a specific place, using the local materials and creating an unrepeatable relation towards the context. the building becomes one with the context: its extension; its complement; its enhancement.
monumento, collage 02, ex figura_4
space is shaped by time and climate change - everytime the temperature rises, the space changes form and function - a monument to make people think about tomorrow
linear space, concept 03, ex figura, 2021_5
in this extension, the rigid structure contrasts with the more organic slabs, moulded by the site itself.
dancing columns, concept artwork 00, ex figura, 2022_6
inspired by the traditionally symbolic versailles garden, the installation was envisioned to create a singular experience for the students and visitors. it took as reference the already present elements, such as the fountains and water mirrors, and reinterpreted them for this specific event.
cave, concept art, ex figura, 2021_7
building from the existing local materials, extending the exterior topography into an interior organic space.
tree house, section, ex figura_8
living in the same way as living in a tree - each level, the environment changes
linear space, concept 02, ex figura, 2021_9
the project is built around the idea that the new structure merely holds the existing context
multi stage house, super plan 01, ex figura, 2023_10
interacting with the environment therefore becomes a performance, with the future home serving as a theatrical stage for dynamic inhabitation. it has the ability to assimilate external stimuli and process it, free from any restraints. in the home, individuals can manifest every facet of their being, acting as the architect of their own space, swaying to the rhythm of their dreams and fantasies.
