on the following june 17th, livio sends another note to silvia on paros project, which should be read as the outcome of a very dense dialogue between the two, a set of reflections shared by both, in spite of their different personalities.

1) if i build an interior, i make a house on the rock and let the plot of land free. if i build a new "place", i obtain an outside space the largest possible. the land is enjoyable all the same!
2) we can make an enclosure or a plane.
3) this plane must be a 2, not a basement on which the house rests; otherwise it will not be the main space any longer.
4) the plane depends on the plot of land. the plot is long and narrow, the built space too.
5) on this plane there are free objects: giant sculptures, plants, pergolas... it is not simply partially built (...) it has to be an end.
6) the house? the ideal would be below the external space. it would be so beautiful! regulations! better not to think about it. it is like admiring pretty women on magazines. a small 10x10 vertical house? no! because the relationship is with the sea and not with the built space. the house must be related to the space: one floor! detached from the space, a second building. same orientation?
7) since it is impossible to build another block (one single building is allowed!), the house must be part of the "long" space. it must be the end of this space. if from outside, i watch the sea, from inside i will not! houses in these places are enclosed! just little views.
8) the living room is the prolongation of the main space. accessible terrace (roof). external stairs. it is a 80m long living-room, what a fun! it needs to become living room plus bedroom. services behind! arranging, understanding, specifying."
